Dr Ram has trained with Harley Academy, the UK's largest provider of training in facial aesthetics and she has completed a Level 7 Diploma which is an Ofqual-regulated postgraduate level medical aesthetics qualification teaching the science, theory and practice of injectable treatments. She has also completed her qualification in Cosmetic Dermatology. What this really means is that her training has been very vigorous and in line with standards set by Health Education England, helping to ensure that patient safety is the biggest priority.

Skin Peels or Chemical Exfoliation: bonds between cells in top layers of skin are purposely broken to encourage regeneration of new skin cells that help skin be more radiant, smoother, tighter, and more even in appearance. Chemical peeling can be traced back to Ancient Egyptian times! It is reported that Cleopatra used to bathe in milk to remain youthful. Milk contains natural acids which are still commonly used in chemical peels.

We use peels that are medical grade and developed by Dermatologists, to ensure you receive safe and proven skincare treatments. In addition there is minimal to no discomfort and downtime.

Our peels specifically target lines, wrinkles, acne, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, pores, sun damage and are even suitable for sensitive skin types. Dr Ram would decide which type of peel would be best for your skin concerns.

Due to the continual turnover of skin cells, we usually recommend a course of 4-6 treatments, usually 2-4 weeks apart to get the maximum benefits.

Microneedling: micro channels are purposely created in the skin to encourage the skin to repair itself and regenerate cells that are much healthier, leaving skin feeling refreshed, more radiant, and even in skin tone. Aims are to improve skin texture, laxity, and help reduce scars, marks and fine lines. Collagen and elastin are stimulated to help increase firmness and hydration of skin as well as smoothen the skins surface.

Cocktails of specialised ingredients can be added to this treatment to help deliver active ingredients such as Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C directly to the skin, having a profound effect on the health and appearance of your skin.

Mesotherapy: very similar to microneedling, with specialised cocktails of active ingredient injected directly into skin layers to encourage skin to repair and regenerate form the deeper layers. Ingredients can be used to improve microcirculation in the skin, provide nutrition via vitamins, repair and protect the skin as well as stimulate collage.

One or all of the above treatments can be combined as per recommendation of your practitioner to help the function and appearance of your skin,. Many patients also have treatment carried out on their neck and décolletage area to achieve the same rejuvenating effects. Individual results may vary with each treatment.

Client presented with concerns over skin texture, wrinkles and laxity. After 4 microneedling sessions and 2 peels alongside award winning skincare, there is a marked improvement in tightness, texture and glow. Various mesotherapy cocktails have been delivered into the skin. Note reduction in lines and laxity around mouth, forehead and cheek area.

Client presented with concerns over patchy pigmentation, uneven skin tone, visible lines and wrinkles especially around frown line, mouth and chin areas, as well as an overall dull and tired appearance. After a course of Microneedling, Peels and use of medical grade skincare, there are visible improvements. There is a reduction in pigmentation, more even skin tone, and the skin is smoother, plumper and more radiant. There is a reduction in laxity and softening of wrinkles around the frown line, mouth and chin as well as better definition of the jaw line.

Wrinkle reduction treatments using Bocouture. If you want to reduce the lines on your face without having to resort to surgical procedures, the good news is that facial rejuvenation techniques can soften wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.

Once injected into the skin, the botulinum toxin relaxes the tiny facial muscles, which cause expression lines, leaving the skin looking smoother. Areas on the face that can be treated include frown lines (vertical lines which form between the eyebrows), crows' feet around corners of the eyes, and horizontal forehead lines. The botulinum injection is quick and painless; usually lasting around 5-10 minutes and requires no anaesthetic. Results will usually be seen in a few days, sometimes taking between 4-7 days for the effects to be seen. As it's not a permanent treatment, the effects will wear off over time, so it's recommended that the procedure is repeated every 3-6 months for effective results.

Dermal filler treatments using Belotero to help plump up lines, wrinkles and area of volume loss, as well as enhance the lips and cheek areas, and hydrate the skin. Product injected within or beneath the skin can improve its physical features. Fillers can be injected at a deep and superficial level to help manage skin ageing. They can help improve fine lines, hydration and textures of the skin. As it's not a permanent treatment, the effects will wear off over time, so it's recommended that the procedure is repeated every 6-12 months for effective results.

There is a difference between the botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. The former relaxes the muscles whereas the fillers fill and plump up lines, wrinkles and grooves to make the skin look more youthful. Fillers usually consist of sterile hyaluronic acid gels made from non-animal sources. As we age the skin's natural hyaluronic acid is lost giving rise to the appearance of lines, wrinkles and folds. Injecting fillers into the skin acts to replace the hyaluronic acid that is lost with age. They are also used for lip enhancement and for shaping facial, hand and neck contours. lines around the mouth and top lip, known as 'smoker's lines'.

The injections, which only take a few minutes, are usually administered after a local anaesthetic has been applied either directly onto the skin, or incorporated into the syringe containing the filler. This serves to reduce or prevent any discomfort. The effect of the treatment is visible immediately. Depending on the area treated, skin type and the injection technique, the filler effect can last between six and 12 months (usually six months for lips). Follow-up treatments will help to maintain the plumped up look over time.
