Tooth Whitening

Do you have stained teeth that make you feel self-conscious about smiling? Teeth whitening can be a good solution for certain types of tooth staining.

Teeth can be stained by foods, drinks, smoking and certain medications. Teeth whitening is a safe procedure that can lighten the colour of your teeth by using a safe dental bleaching agent. Individual results vary and are based on your initial tooth colour and the nature of your tooth staining.

We deliver two types of teeth whitening:

1. Home Day Whitening

We will custom-make a lightweight plastic mouth tray for you that fits snugly over your teeth. You then put a whitening gel inside the tray and wear it for 1-2 hours during the day. Results are normally seen over 2 weeks.

2. Home Night Whitening: Premier Enlighten Package

Do you have hard plaque or stains on your teeth that you can't get rid of? Do you suffer with bad breath and bleeding gums?

Dental hygiene treatment will involve removal of any plaque from your teeth that may have built up in certain areas. Your teeth will be professionally cleaned with special equipment and pastes, this process is also known as scaling and polishing.

An important aspect of the hygienist's role is to show you how to look after your teeth so they remain free from plaque. You will be advised on the best brushing technique and given tips on flossing and using interdental brushes.

Dental hygiene at the dental practice also forms part of treating gum disease and bad breath. If you have a bridge, denture, orthodontic treatment or a dental implant you will have specific hygiene needs that the hygienist will be able to assist you with.

It is recommend that you come in for regular hygiene appointments to ensure your mouth stays clean and healthy.

In addition we offer a diamond clean which involves stain removal using a very fine powder that is sprayed onto the teeth to help remove stains from tea, coffee, wine and smoking. Teeth are then polished so that you leave with a sparkly smile.
